Love of Prata
It started when I was passing this cafe near the supermarket in our place here in SG. I was curious about what they are doing. Flipping the dough and spreading it like a pizza. Then finally a friend of mine introduced this kind of food to me. Originally its an indian food, a folded paper thin dough baked in a hotpan, the plain prata with a curry dipping sauce, but with some twist they add filling into it like cheese, eggs, banana, blueberry and etc. This kind of food is something that you can eat every morning. A very lite carb meal filled with good flavors from the dough, fillings and of course the curry dip.
For me the best one would be the cheese prata, of course i love cheese but that’s not the main reason why I love it, it’s because the creaminess of the cheese brings to the prata mostly when it melts, also it’s a good combination for the curry dip becauce it adds a little salty taste and creaminess when you take a bite. It was also an art, like the italians have their pizza. When you see them doing it surely you’ll stop by and take a look at it, see how the small piece of dough spread like a paper thin pizza by flipping it over and over.
So thats it! this food struck me here in SG and if I DIDNT eat this prata surely IAM a fckn racist. Lol joke! :)) Hahaha
